






A Training Workshop on Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) Proceedings Publication and Editorial Processes: Strengthening Quality, Rigor, and Standards was successfully conducted by the Event Management Division of the NSF jointly with the Planning Division of the Ministry of Science and Technology which was held on 10 December 2025 at the NSF Auditorium.as a full day workshop. The event was graced by Mr. Y. L. Mohamed Navavi, the Secretary to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Sudath Samaraweera, the Chairman and Dr. Sepalika Sudasinghe, Director General of the National Science Foundation.
The objective of this workshop was to strengthen editorial and review competencies of editorial board members and review panel members assigned for preparing the RIA workshop proceedings and related publication.
Dr Sepalika Sudasinghe, Director General welcomed the participants. Mr. Y. L. Mohamed Navavi, the Secretary to the Ministry of Science and Technology in his speech underlined importance of this workshop and said publication in terms of evidence based planning and decision making. Dr. Prabath C. Abeysiriwardana, Director / Planning of the MoST outlined the objectives. The workshop featured valuable contributions from the resource persons Dr. Dinesha Samararatne, Dr. Unnathi Samaraweera, Prof. Tissa Ravindra Perera, Prof. Shironica Karunanayake, and Prof. Sunethra Perera.
